WhatsApp outage: Users unable to send or receive messages

NEW DELHI, Oct 25 (TIWN): Meta-owned social messaging app WhatsApp is down across India, the United Kingdom, South Africa and Asia, with thousands of users complaining they are unable to send or receive messages in text or video format
According to Downdetector, a platform that tracks websites, there were close to 26,000 reports from users regarding the functioning of the app.
While 69% of the faced problems with sending messages, 24% has troubles with server connection and 7% had issues with the overall app. "We're aware that some people are currently having trouble sending messages and we're working to restore WhatsApp for everyone as quickly as possible," said Meta spokesperson as quoted by news wire agency ANI.
