AGARTALA, June 27 (TIWN): CPIM leaders and activists of various leftist organisations joined the protest with slogans to cancel anti-farmers’ agriculture bill, and also various other demands were raised.
Left organisation staged demonstration in Kamalasagar Madhupur Bazaar against the anti-farmers’ agriculture bill of the government and demanded to reduce petrol, diesel and necessary commodities prices. On Sunday, public from different professions staged the protest movement with placards by maintaining Covid guidelines.
MLA, Narayan Chowdhury and other leaders joined the protest movement and while delivering speech on the occasion, Narayan Chowdhury said that in this dire time of the epidemic on the one hand there is the fear of Covid infection on the other hand, the poor middle class people are the victims of this crisis situation. The agitators demanded Rs 7,500 should be given to the families, those who are not covered under tax and 10 Kg free rice to be provided to each person among the needy families in this pandemic situation.
