Patna, Feb 2 (TIWN) The Opposition parties in Bihar on Monday slammed the Union Budget, and said it only focused on selling government entities like airports, warehouses and PSUs.
Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman presenting the budget in the Parliament on Monday said that the budget focuses on healthcare and infrastructure. Ruling party leaders lauded the budget for its focus on a number of measures, including capital expenditure, tax exemption for senior citizens and incentives for start-ups among others. However, Congress strongly criticised the budget, saying that the finance minister's speech was oblivious to the declining GDP and the budget was a case of "wrong diagnosis and prescription". Trinamool Congress (TMC) said that the budget was "paperless and visionless".
