Tel Aviv, Sep 3 (TIWN) Israel's Health Ministry announced that it has filed a protective injunction at a labour court requiring laboratory workers to end a strike launched earlier this week.
The court is due to hear the ministry's request on Thursday.
Israel's lab workers went on strike claiming they have to deal with low wages but high workloads.
The strike includes 2,000 workers in 400 labs across Israel, with staff running only life-saving urgent tests, such as tests for critically ill patients, cancer and heart patients, as well as coronavirus tests.
However, the strikers give only positive results to coronavirus tests, while those who are found negative will not receive the results.
