AGARTALA, Dec 18 (TIWN): Sonamura Police on Wednesday destroyed about 40,000 Yaba tablets led by SP Sepahijala, as a part of anti-drug movement.

According to the reports, the drive was held under the court order and the police officials said to conduct more such drives in future.

These tablets were seized from Motinagar village of Sonamura previous year, December 2018.

According to the reports, smuggling of these Mayanmar rooted yaba tablets has drastically increased in past 2 years.
