New Delhi, Aug 7 (TIWN) Wedding bells may soon ring in the Ruia family with the youngest member of the family, Rewant, the son of Essar founder Ravi Ruia, getting engaged to his girlfriend Karishma Choraria, sources close to the family said.

Rewant is the younger son of Ravi Ruia, who along with his brother Shashi founded the Essar Group. Rewant also sits on the board of Essar Global Holdings Limited and Essar Constructions (India) Limited as director.  Russia’s VTB is the largest shareholder in the newly formed company with 40 percent stake and is likely to face stiff competition from the Arcelor Mittal and Nippon Steel combine.
