Tripura Municipal By-Election : BJP led | AGARTALA, Dec 1 (TIWN): BJP led poll violence once again has forced attacks upon opposition in broad day light during nomination submission. The incident took place at Jirania when CPI-M candidates were on they way to submit nomination papers in the SDM Office in Jirania. Ex-Minister Manik Dey, ADC CEM-Radhacharan Debbarma also came under the heavy attack. Holding a press conference, Manik Dey said after the incident, "No democracy is existing under this BJP Govt and just like the previous election (Panchayat Election), this election is also causing serious attacks upon the candidates. Election Commission is totally failed to maintain its neutrality". "In the morning we had informed the West District SP Ajit Pratap Singh about our nomination submission programme. From West District police it was confirmed that proper police force will be deployed and also additional protections as TSR, CRPF to be deployed. But as soon as we reached Ranir Bazar BJP goons started following us and when we crossed the police station area, they gheraoed us with sticks.
