Shadow Falls Over India's Capital!!
A powerful explosion rocked the historic Red Fort area in New Delhi on November 10, 2025, leaving at least 12 people dead and over 20 injured. The blast has been linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed, a Pakistan-based terrorist organization, with investigations revealing a larger conspiracy to target major cities across India.
According to officials, the blast was caused by an improvised explosive device (IED) planted in a Hyundai i20 car. The car's owner, Dr. Umar Nabi, a member of the Jaish-e-Mohammed module, was allegedly driving the vehicle when the explosion occurred. However, it's still unclear whether the blast was deliberate or accidental.
The investigation has uncovered a network of terrorists operating under the guise of medical professionals and educational institutions. The group's activities were reportedly linked to several areas, including Faridabad in Haryana, Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir, and Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh. The module was allegedly activated on October 4 at a wedding in Saharanpur, where Dr. Adil married Dr. Ruqaiya.
Key Accused and Arrests
The main suspects in the case include.
Dr. Shaheen Saeed: A senior doctor at Faridabad's Al-Falah University, accused of setting up a female wing for Jaish-e-Mohammed.
Dr. Umar Nabi: A member of the Jaish-e-Mohammed module, allegedly driving the car that exploded near the Red Fort.
Dr. Muzammil: A Kashmiri doctor who was working at Al-Falah Medical College and was part of the terror module.
Dr. Adil: A medical practitioner who handled logistics and financial channels for the module.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken over the case, and raids are being conducted across multiple states to track down every member of the Jaish-linked "Doctor Module". The investigation has revealed that the group was in contact with Pakistani handlers and had received instructions from them.
The US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, has praised India's professional investigation into the blast, describing it as a "terrorist attack". Rubio also expressed condolences to the Indian External Affairs Minister, S. Jaishankar, over the incident.
The investigation has also uncovered a possible Turkey connection, with officials suspecting that Dr. Umar and Dr. Muzammil may have met contacts associated with Jaish-e-Mohammed during their visit to Turkey. The group had planned to execute multiple blasts at key locations in Delhi, including the Red Fort, India Gate, and Constitution Club.
The Delhi blast has exposed a new face of terrorism in South Asia, where educated professionals are being manipulated into extremist networks. The incident has raised concerns about national security and the need for vigilance in preventing such attacks.
