AGARTALA, Dec 24 (TIWN): Lack of awareness on consumerism rights and state Govt's zero control over the price hikes of daily commodities have left state's consumers under heavy trouble and bound to tolerate illogical prices, either in vegetable markets or in dress-purchasing.
A very less numbers of participants were seen in a programme conducted by Tripura Govt to discuss Consumerism Rights at Agartala town hall. The programme was conducted on the occasion of National Consumer Day.
Noteworthy, in India, 24th December is being observed as National Consumer Day. On this day the Consumer Protection Act, 1986 had received the assent of the President.
