AGARTALA, Dec 16 (TIWN): Either CPI-M leader Gautam Das or CM Manik Sarkar, they all are from neighboring Bangladesh, But why ? Bitter, but true. Even though Govt of India had given shelter to many Hindu migrants who ran from Bangladesh out of communal tension and even Rabindranath Tagore's forefathers were also from Bangladesh, but in return, in today's time when a huge park was dedicated to Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Tripura's legend Sachin Dev Burman lived at Chartha in Bangladesh's Comilla district , about 50km from Agartala, is now a poultry farm. It came in National media many times.
Indira Gandhi also fought for Bangladesh and due to Indian Army led fights with Pakistan Bangladesh is today liberate.
In this situation India-Bangladesh relation is proving favourable to underdeveloped country Bangladesh only, but S D Burman yet to get honour at there.
However, the park "Bharat-Bangla Maitri Uddan" (India-Bangladesh Friendship Park) on November 11, 2010. A museum is also being set up at the park. It will showcase the arms and ammunition used in the Liberation War, rare photographs and war literature. The park will also feature 220 different plant species.
Other highlights include the surrounding hillocks, the Trichna Wildlife Sanctuary and a 500-year-old mosque in Bangladesh's Comilla district.
Statues of then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and the founder of Bangladesh, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, have also been erected in the park.
