AGARTALA, Nov 26 (TIWN): Tripura BJP Tapashili Morcha or SC Morcha paid tribute to Dr B R Ambedkar on the occasion of Indian Constitution Day.
The programme was organized at the BJP Office in Krishnagagar.
Constitution Day, also known as Samvidhan Divas, is celebrated in India on 26 November every year to commemorate the adoption of Constitution of India.
Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar (14 April 1891 – 6 December 1956), popularly known as Baba Saheb, was an Indian jurist, economist, politician and social reformer who inspired the Dalit Buddhist Movement and campaigned against social discrimination against Untouchables (Dalits), while also supporting the rights of women and labour. He was Independent India's first law minister, the principal architect of the Constitution and a founding father of the Republic of India.
