AGARTALA, Nov 24 (TIWN): Disaster Management Dept has shown various demonstrations about emergency situations in Laxmi narayan Bari lake on Friday.

During the demonstration NDRF team told public how to fight over various water-body related risks which are leading mass deaths in Tripura.

Disaster Management is one of the major activities in the Revenue Department. The Revenue Department is an oldest Department of the State Government, which play a very vital role in the Administration comprising District Administration, Land Records & Settlement, Relief Rehabilitation and Disaster Management and Weights & Measures Department.

This Department is functioning for the greater interest of the poorest of the poor with the help of three tier Panchayats in managing their own affairs.
