AGARTALA, Nov 23 (TIWN): Like every strikes, Congress has begun the strike day with burning tires in front of Congress Bhawan on Thursday morning.
Youth Congress leaders participated in the tire burning protest.
The strike was first called by BJP protesting against the senior journalist Sudip Datta Bhaumik’s murder later Congress also called for 24 hours strike as a protest to the murder of state journalist.
Senior journalist Sudip Datta Bhaumik was shot dead yesterday by TSR 2nd Bn Commandant’s bodyguard Nandalal Reang as per the instruction of the Commandant himself.
Sudip Datta Bhaumik had exposed Tapan Debbarma in some corruption related news recently and 11 channels had covered the news.
On Tuesday, at the 2nd Bn HQ at R K Nagar state journalist was killed brutally allegedly by the 2 officials.
