AGARTALA, Nov 21 (TIWN):Tripura’s another TV journalist Sudip Dutta Bhaumik was killed on Tuesday brutally, during news coverage at the Capital City. Working in various TV channels as well as in print media, Bhowmik went to cover certain news for the day, but exactly what news he was covering it has not been known yet. Sudip Dutta Bhaumik was called by TSR 2nd Bn and then he was shot dead, as per the latest known facts. The incident took place at Bodhjung Nagar after Sudip Dutta Bhowmik, resident of Agartala Indranagar was called by 2nd Bn of TSR in their camp, a source said. Nothing has been informed more than the brutal murder of the journalist. On Sep 20 another TV journalist of 26 years was killed in a violent political clash at Mandai. However, 1 TSR Jawan named Nandu Reang was arrested immediately after the murder. TIWN was informed that both of them were in a scuffle and the TSR jawan had killed Bhaumik with the alleged backing of 2nd Btn Commandant Tapan Debbarma. In last 2 months, 2 murders of journalist took place in Tripura. State's journalists have demanded CBI investigation in Sudip Datta Bhowmik's murder case.
