AGARTALA, August 17 (TIWN): A case was lodged with Belonia Police Station against a chit fund organization ‘Gram Bikash Seba Sangstha’ that has closed down its office at Netaji Palli, Belonia after misappropriation of fund collected from local people.
Reportedly, the ‘Gram Bikash Seba Sangstha’ advertised through local daily on May, 03,2014 for recruitment in some posts of the organization including Manager. Seeing the advertisement in local daily some of the aspirants communicated with the office of the organization at Netaji palli, Belonia. Office Chief Jitendra Kumar Mishra and worker Tapan Debnath asked to all the job aspirants to deposit an amount of Rs 5000 for appointment.
Some of the aspirants already deposited the required amount in the office of the ‘Gram Bikash Seba Sangstha’ and they waited for about two months but no positive result. Meanwhile the chit fund organization closed down their office and fled with all the money.
Aspirant Shibsankar Saha and others lodged a complaint at Belonia Police Station against the chit fund company. Police have started investigation over the case.
