KHUMULWNG, Nov 3 (TIWN) IPFT has protested at Khumulwng on Friday demanding proper investigation in Santanu murder case and Jiban Debnath’s missing case.

IPFT has alleged that in both cases, Police have arrested wrong people just for harassment and to fool the public, whereas GMP members were actively involved in both the crimes.

A deputation was placed to Radhacharan Debbarma, Chief Executive Member of ADC in this regard.

Jiban Debnath was missing since Sep 20 after GMP and IPFT clashes were taken place at Khumulwng. On the same day Tripura journalist Santanu Bhowmik was killed brutally in GMP/ CPI-M’s clash but police ended by arrested 3 people in both cases, whereas total 10-15 people were involved as per police’s record.

IPFT has demanded proper investigation and arrest of the CPI-M activists in the cases.
