AGARTALA, Nov 2 (TIWN): Assam Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in his two day visit in Tripura said, "Every time I come in Tripura, I have been introduced with peculiar aspects'.

'Jiten Das, CPI-M leader has been acquitted in Kalpana murder case, has shocked me', said the Minister.

After the release of Ex-CPI-M leader Jiten Das along with 6 others, question raises, 'Who killed Kalpana Das ?'

The answer is however none other than, 'Nobody killed Kalpana Das' and sensational murder case dumped without punishments.

Tripura Police's failure once again has been proven with Kalpana murder case as not a single person was convicted in her case. Thus, how police will do justice with Santanu murder case ??

Tripura BJP leader Subol Bhowmik after the verdict told TIWN, "What can we expect more than this in Tripura, where 86 % cases remain unconvicted and the criminals release without punishment everyday led by loose investigation of Tripura Police ?"

Along with Jiten Das, Jiten Das's brother Atindra Das and nephew Shivdutta Das were also acquitted in the murder case. The verdict was pronounced by judge S. Bhattacharjee, Judge of the fast track court on Tuesday, whereas Pijush Biswash was the advocate of Jiten Das and the Govt lawyer was Bhaskar Debbarma.
