AGARTALA, Oct 5 (TIWN): In last 15 days total 5 days internet had been interrupted across Tripura leading mass resentment among the common people. BJP Yuva Morcha has conducted a rally at Agartala protesting against the paralyzed net service of the state since Wednesday evening without any reason. In last 15 days two times the internet was suspended. 1st net-suspension had taken place on Sep-20 after journalist Santanu Bhowmik was brutally killed at Mandai but on that time also it triggered massive resentment as the 24 hours internet suspension had been extended to 4 days. But the latest internet suspension is quite irritating as the state govt has suspended the internet without any valid reason and following a protest of very few women protesters at Radhapur PS on Wednesday centering an arrest.
The internet suspension have been done 2 times in last 15 days for 5 days total including today. This sudden suspension of internet has triggered massive resentment among the mobile users. However, only BSNL broad-band is active. From flight / rail ticket booking to medicine shopping all have been suddenly disrupted issuing a simple matter held at Radhapur.
As per Radhapur Police station's information one Balendra Debbarma was arrested regarding Sep-20's Khumlwng vehicle's burning incident yesterday. After that local women had gheraoed police station that led the implementation of Section-144 at there and along with that internet has been suspended all over the state.
Questions are raising : Is it a Jammu Kashmir like situation that the state govt can not control ?
However, in excuse, Tripura Govt like everytime said to prevail social media violence the internet service have been halted.
