AGRTALA, Aug 12 (TIWN): Total 23 relief camps have been opened at Agartala by Govt with the ongoing rescue operation led by BSF, TSR, Police, said DM Office report.

NDRF, BSF, TSR are in joint venture holding the rescue operation.

Above 2000 flood refugees have taken shelter at various relief camps, whereas as per official report the number of refugees are around 1500. 

Common men, political parties, clubs have joined hands to help the flood affected families in those camps, TIWN reported.

Three helplines have been announced: 1077 under West DM, 1070 State Govt, 2416045 under Civil Secretariat.

In any emergency times public are urged to call in those numbers.
