AGARTALA, July 23 (TIWN): Breaking the myth that generic medicines do not carry the equal quality of medicine sold at private shops, the Central Minsiter of Chemical & Fertilizers for State Mansukh Mandaviya said that these medicines are not only of good quality but Generic Medicines are tested twice.
Mansukh Mandaviya confirmed that “not once but the Generic Medicines are tested twice and the price can not justify the quality of those drugs as the medicines service was launched to diminish the burden of the patient-party in the country”.
“Medical Council of India is suggesting the doctors to recommend the Generic Medicines for the patients uses. However, no such rule has been brought in this regard but after the medicine centre spread its network, rules will also come; it’s just a matter of time”, said the Minister.
However, more number of Generic Medicine Centre to be opened in Tripura as said by Mandaviya.
