TIWN July 10, 2017

AGARTALA, July 10 (TIWN): A huge reduction of IPFT supporters has been seen this time with the division of IPFT and a huge number of youths moving on from the party with leaders like Rampada Jamatia, Jishnu Debbarman's calling from BJP. Whereas last time in one day blockade above 30000 supporters sat on protest but on Monday's blockade merely 5000 supporters gathered in N C Debbarma led NH/ Railway blockade. Most likely, within 48 hours the arrest of the leaders will be accomplished as the alternative Mohonpur roadway has flopped already IPFT's National Highway blockade planning. During Faggan Singh Kulaste's visit in Tripura, at Khumlwng easily 20,000 tribal men and women had attended whereas IPFT all together failed to gather 5000 people at there. The party-member clashes and divide-cut policy has also weakened IPFT, a recent report said.
But surprising matter is that IPFT has listed 'No Tipraland : No Rest' slogan with the move. From a dark past the IPFT from NLFT formed a new party and also a huge number of their children are well being now. But with 'No Tipraland : No Rest' does it mean to get back to NLFT form again ?
However, the situation yet now has remained cut from all violence as a high security has been deployed at there.
The IPFT made its political breakthrough in the 2000 TTAADC elections. The militant separatist organization NLFT had declared that it would only allow the IPFT to contest the election; in light of a series of assassinations, death threats, and kidnappings, only the left front and the IPFT participated. The IPFT ended up winning 17 out of 28 seats, taking a majority on the TTAADC.
In demand of Tipraland, IPFT has kicked off a road / rail blockade journey at Baramura.
