AGARTALA, July 6 (TIWN): With the order of High Court on Thursday police and transport dept. jointly checked E-Rickshaws driving at Agartala.

The checking was conducted on various things especially on the batteries, whether these batteries are made in India or not.

Earlier a ban was called to the uses of cheap priced China or other foreign made companies batteries.

The checking was done infront of Abhoynagar outpost, even though a huge number of E-Rickshaw drivers could manage to escape.
