BISHALGARH, June 20 (TIWN): A woman died after she was drowned in river Bijoy.

The incident took place at Bishalgrah’s Raoutkhala. Ramesh Saha’s house was beside the river but since last few days due to continuous rain the river bank was facing a constant erosion.

When the house was on the verge of destruction, family members got busy in gathering the items inside the house including the furniture.

In the mean time to check the  water level Ramesh Saha’s wife Renubala Saha went beside the river, but suddenly she fell in the river.

Amidst various attempts, the locals failed to save Renubala Saha.

After hours of searching fire brigade recovered her dead body from 1.5 KM  distance.
