AGARTALA, Feb 23 (TIWN): Atleast 1,030 cases are in trail under Cr. P C-125 related to women's alimony.
This was disclosed when MLA Shyamal Chkaraborty asked the Govt regarding this issue. However, the MLA further asked whether there is any attempt to be taken by the Govt of Tripura regarding setting up of new special courts or for the sake of a faster Judicial system.
Replying the question, Tripura Law Minister Tapan Chakraborty said there is no plan regarding this and the cases are going as per the Court's directions.
However, Tripura Courts are now burdened with a huge number pending cases including women related cases and many are based on family disputes.
