Tripura’s power demand in 2016-17 raised upto 284 MW

AGARTALA, Jan 27 (TIWN): Tripura’s power demand was 2016-17 was 284 MW, a data released on Republic Day.
However, according to the Govt data the demand was fulfilled by Rukhia, Palatana and Monarchak like plants.
Tripura’s Power Dept. reportedly is undergoing tremendous challenges due to the huge debts and lack of production in various plants.
The reason behind it was declared by the Power Minister as decreasing rates of rain in state.
