AGARTALA, Dec 15 (TIWN): Tripura Governor Tathagata Roy on Wednesday sought Capital Punishment for Acid attackers.
‘Acid attack kills a woman livingly. Her life is fully spoiled by acide, she becomes dead for whole life’, said Roy.
‘Earlier also I many times demanded that the punishment for the acid attackers should be capital punishment, but sadly it was not approved’, Roy added.
He further told police, ‘Please just be kindles towards acid attackers... be ruthless and leave no mercy for them so that as far as tough punishment can possible be given by the court’.
‘Police can not break laws, so be in law but never forgive acid attackers. Yesterday also a girl at west Bengal was attacked by acid. At West Bengal the Commissions also not available, that’s a very sad scenario’, said Roy.
