BISHALGARH, Dec 13 (TIWN): With an endeavour to prevent the drug addiction among the people, Bishalghar police administration conducted an awareness camp on drug addiction at Madhya Laxibill Gram Panchayat .

The camp was organized by the initiative of SDPO Bishalghar Prabir Pal , Woman Police Incharge Smt Sipra Das of  police administration. In this camp SDPO delivered his valuable speech to aware future generation. The aims and objective of the camp was to protect the people from becoming drug addicted.

During the awareness cum counseling camp, OC of Bishalghar police station delivered his precious speech on drug abuse and highlighted the growing menace of drugs in present generation and effort of police in curbing the menace by conducting awareness camps, counseling session among addicted people and campaign against drug peddlers. He also exhorted the parents and teachers to keep extra vigil over street vendors and hawkers near educational institutions and public places who may lure the youths to drug abuse.

He also pointed out prerequisite tips for preparation for competitive exams. “Apart from dedication and determination, hard work in right direction is required for a successful career”, he added. Later, students posed series of questions to the speakers on various issue like policing, drug abuse, career prospects etc. Common people appreciated the initiatives of Bishgalghar  police administration.
