AGARTALA, Nov 8 (TIWN): Low-lying areas of Bisramganj, Charilam areas are under water after incessant rain since three days.
Over 1000 families have been affected by the floods, TIWN reported.
Agartala-Sabroom national highway has been submerged & lots of tracks, buses and other, traffic out of gear in three places.
Officials said the flash floods had also damaged huge farm fields. A total of 100 flood-affected families were given shelter in the relief camps opened in the Bishalgarh, Charilam areas by the Sepahijala district administration.
Heavy rainfall lashing various parts of state in the past 24 hours, water-levels in major rivers including the Gomati, Manu and Howrah have continued to rise.
The District authority have issued an alert.
