AGARTALA, Nov 7 (TIWN): A bridge over river Howrah was broken down due to overflow of water following consistent rain since many days which caused massive flood in Agartala.

The bridge was the lifeline of local communication at Baldakhal area. 

The bridge was however in bad condition since years. Locals told TIWN that even after continuous complains done by them, the PWD didn’t take any action.

On the other hand a man named Biswajit Dhar died after that bridge was collapsed on Sunday. 

The communication has been hugely interrupted after the bridge was collapsed. 

Till now no initiative has been taken to repair it.
