AGARTALA, Nov 7 (TIWN): CPI-M in Tripura is celebrating the 100 years of the November revolution.
At Agartala Melarmath Party Office State Secretary Bijan Dhar hoisted the party flag on Monday morning.
At Bisramganj, a book stall was opened on this occasion, which is piled up with Communists ideology’s book-bundles.
Huge rallies were organized across the state and floral tribute was given to Communist leaders in various places of the state.
CPI-M party emerged from a split from the Communist Party of India in 1964. The CPI(M) was formed at the Seventh Congress of the Communist Party of India held in Calcutta from 31 October to 7 November 1964.
The strength of CPI-M is concentrated in the states of Kerala, West Bengal & Tripura.
As of 2016, CPI-M is leading the state governments in Tripura and Kerala.
