UDAIPUR, Oct 26 (TIWN): As part of Diwali preparations Chief Secretary Yashpal Singh and DGP(IC) K Nagraj on Tuesday visited Udaipur. At 4pm Chief Secretary and DGP held meeting with other high officials in the Conference Room of DM Gomati . DM Gomati Raval Hamendra Kumar and SP Gomati S Saraswati were also present in the meeting along with Addl SP Gomati, SDMs, SDPOs of Udaipur, Amarpur and Karbook subdivisions and officials of other aligned departments.The meeting continued for one hour.
After the meeting the officials straightway went to Matabari to supervise the on going preparations of the two day long Diwali Festival to be held in the Tripura Sundari Temple complex. They spent at least 45 minutes at Matabari .
Meanwhile it is learnt that Centre has given high alert to Gomati district administration regarding Diwali festival. Accordingly security will be tightened in the entire Gomati district ahead of Udaipur. A highly placed police officials informed TIWN that from Wednesday security forces will be deployed around Matabari temple complex. This year around 2500 police personnel in civilian clothes will be deployed along with armed forces.
