ARJUNA, Oct 16 (TIWN): A huge response was observed among the common people of Arjuna Border area at Baithang Bari, when BSF 159th Btn called for a free medical check-up and medicine distribution.
The medical camp was held at Baithang Bari led by BSF Commandant Dr. N S Bhaiya on Sunday.
During the medical camp it was unearthed that many of them are suffering from various kinds of skin diseases in that area. Along with check-up medicines were also provided to them.
Rush of local people were found there during the one-day-long medical workshop.
Due to lack of doctors, health service this area often suffers from various health issues and in this situation BSF 159th Battalion’s initiative was much appreciated by local people.
Huge number of women, children were also observed.
BSF 159th Battalion is an active battalion can be said in Tripura. They organize various kinds of programmes, which show their concern in every sectors in Tripura, including Children, Health, Drug-trafficking etc.
On the auspicious occasion of Navratri celebration BSF 159th Btn held a programme with school children of Panisagar Ankur Play School.The programme conducted at zero lined area at Maheshpur border. Along with the school children teachers of the respective school remained present. A cultural programme was held on that occasion.
It’s worthy to mention here that BSF 159th Btn recently also recovered 500 kilos Ganjas from a Truck which was going from Agartala to Guwahati.
Such activities day by day are increasing more trust of people for BSF.
