Agartala, May 13 (TIWN): In a tragic road accident, one passenger was injured while at least 23 other passengers received close-shave from death on Ambassa-Kamalpur highway at Kamalpur sub-division, today. The injured person was identified as Pratima Debbarma.
The incident took place, while a Maruti van bearing the number TR01-AC-0714 was proceeding towards Ambassa by that time a Commander Jeep bearing the number TR04-3015 pushed the Maruti van from front side. As a result, one passenger Pratima Debbarma received grievous injuries on her person especially in head and eye. Due to the face-to-face crash, the front panel of the both vehicles were damaged partially. According to the eye witnesses; this mishap was occurred as because of the unconscious Maruti driver.
After receiving the information about road accident, police of Kamalpur police station rushed to the pace of occurrence and arrested the Maruti driver. The injured passenger- Pratima Debbarma is under treatment at the BSM hospital.
