AGARTALA, Aug 7 (TIWN):Just few hours left that Tripura girl Dipa Karmakar will perform at Rio.

“My target now is to reach the final round”, said Dipa Karmakar. She is expert in Produnova,  a handspring double, front somersault, has the highest degree of difficultly for a women’s vault.

It’s so dangerous some want it banned because of the potentially life-threatening injuries if a gymnast over-rotates and lands on their neck.

But Dipa the first Indian gymnast to compete at the Games since 1964, is determined. On April 18, 2016, Dipa Karmakar made history by becoming the first Indian woman gymnast to make it to the Olympics. But what really sets Dipa apart among most gymnasts from across the world is her crazy perseverance to try out a move that is considered downright dangerous by most observers.
