KAMALPUR, May 28 (TIWN): When the development keen and people’s friendly state government failed to stop the shifting of the District Court even after much possibilities from Kamalpur then the efforts of the Additional District and Session Judge Arindam Pal brought into some hope regarding the judicial future of this sub-division.
After taking charge of Kamalpur, ADJ Arindam Pal first initiated for the refreshment of the infrastructure of the age old Court complex. He introduced the provision of safe drinking water for the advocates, staffs and commoners. He also arranged for the ladies’ toilet.
Further, electrification wirings, new coloring of the buildings etc were also arranged. Most importantly, the witnesses now got their money on the very day of arrival before the Court. Now, the ADJ planned to implement covered drainage system in the Court premise.
However, he tried to arrange for public toilet inside the Court which became impossible due to the non-cooperation in preparing the estimate from the part of the PWD(R&B) Kamalpur division.
Now, he got successful in getting the sanction for a new composite Court building at the site adjacent to the Government English Medium School. In that building there remained provisions for the Court of the Civil Judge Senior Division. It was made as Kamalpur would get the Court shortly. Then the people should not rush to Kailasahar for their civil cases.
But what remained irony in that entire success story was once again the step-motherly behavior from the part of the State government’ PWD(R&B) department. Still people of Kamalpur could boast in future of having complete opportunity of at least judicial matters in this border town.
