KAMALPUR, May 27 (TIWN): The right of having information through the RTI Act got violated at random in the different departments of the state. And sometimes the authority used to provide misleading information to the information seeker.

Such a case happened with an SSA teacher of Ambassa who sought some information from the District Education Authority. Now, the teacher resolved to knock the DM for getting the actual information.

According to the information provided by a district Education Office source, an SSA teacher sought some information from the District authority regarding the transfer and deputation of the SSA teachers. He was given with the information but in a misleading way.

 Furthermore, when he sought relevant documents in favor of such inter-district or inter-school transfers, the authority failed to provide any and admitted of not having any such documents with them.

A highly placed source of the District Education Office claimed on the condition of anonymity that, during the past years and still very recent times the teachers from the families of party heavy weights got inter-district transfers violating the SSA norms completely.

 But in the cases of the teachers from common families the norm was observed strictly. And it created much resentment among the deprived teachers of the SSA. Now, what steps the DM would adopt remained the matter to be seen.
