KAMALPUR, May 26 (TIWN): TIWN’s continuous coverage brought some change in the fate of the commuters on the Halhali-Fatikroy NEC road under Kumarghat division of PWD(R&B). The authority started filling up the holes on the road with mud and concrete. However, the locales demanded that, the authority should adopt some permanent solution of the problem.
The Halhali-Fatikroy NEC road remained a devastating experience for the commuters. The road filled up with pot holes and completely shattered parts turned the journey a dreadful experience. Especially the parts under Kumarghat division of PWD(R&B) turned dreadful.
The locales of Demdum, Ganganagar etc area demanded that the authority used to conduct maintenance works occasionally which would provide the contractors with huge profit. The officials also got share from that profit. And hence the authority never found keen to remedy the problem. Then the matter was covered in TIWN.
Then the authority became some sort of active. They started to fill up the pot holes with mud and concrete. It made the journey somehow comfortable than earlier. Now, the locales demanded that the authority should adopt some measures for permanent solution of the problem.
