AGARTALA, May 24 (TIWN): Although it’s claimed that Agartala town is kept under high security during night hours for the safety of public but theft and robberies have still remained as everyday issues in state.
After the Krishnanagar couple of bikes theft case more theft cases are reported from here and there.
Agartala city although assured to turn into a smart city, but maximum CCTV cameras are left in non-workable condition.
Tripura police although many times successfully caught robbers with the help of modern technology provided by the private banks, but Govt. has no concerned to launch new CCTV cameras in every corners of the town.
Moreover, Govt. is not taking any initiative to repair the damaged CCTV cameras, resulting more numbers of theft cases in the capital city.
