AGARTALA, May 13 (TIWN): Tripura University girl’s student on Friday stage hunger strike demanding to stay back in hostel during the vacation.

Tripura University is the main public/central government University of the Indian State of Tripura. Tripura University ranked 4th position in Eastern and 43rd position in all India.
Tripura University was launched on October 2, 1987. The state’s first institution of higher education, MBB College, had commenced functioning from 1947 with affiliation from Calcutta University but in the immediate aftermath of partition the population of the state registered a steep growth and so did the number of students aspiring for higher education.
