KAMALPUR, May 13 (TIWN): Yet another crime against women took place in the state. And this time a minor girl of 08 years of age got raped and murdered at Arjun Nagbanshi Para under Chulubari panchayat in this sub-division. Top cops and Magistrate rushed to the spot. Dog Squad and Forensic Team would arrive to unearth the real saga and to nab the culprit behind the crime.

According to police and the parents of victim girl Shruti Nagbanshi (Name changed), she was missing from hose from last evening. Her father Lakhindar Nagbanshi searched her at night but failed to trace.

This morning one distant relative of Lakhinder namely Sukhua Nagbanshi found the body of Shruti lying naked in his rubber plantation. Sukhua informed the parents and the villagers as well.

They came and found the girl dead. Immediately police was informed. Police led by SDPO Uttam Banik reached the spot. Observing the physical condition of the corpse, they concluded it might be a case of rape and murder. Then after vehement searching, police traced her skirt almost 100 meters away from the body in a jungle.

Her towel was recovered another 50 meter away from the skirt. On that place the position of the shrubs and herbs pointed to something uncanny, according to the police.

However, the parents and the locale could not give any hint as who could do such heinous crime. In this context police called for Dog Squad and Forensic Team. After their arrival the body would be handed over after prior examination in the presence of the Magistrate.
