TELIAMURA, May 13 (TIWN) : Poor quality of construction work and embezzlement of atleast Rs. 7 lakhs for a market shed at Yakrai Village, under Kalyanpur block has hit that ADC area.

Locals are alleging that although a huge amount of fund was allocated to make the market-shed, but the local contractor is running the construction work slowly and as a result resentment has been brewed among the locals of Kalyanpur.

Reportedly, since years, the public of Yakrai Village, under Teliamura subdivision was demanding for a cemented market-shed as till day public were suffering for not having any shed at there, especially in rainy seasons.

However, atlast, the block decided to make a cemented market, for which fund was also allocated from the govt.

But presently, the work progress is very slow and people of that place are worried about the total time for the final finishing of the work. Atleast Rs. 7 to 8 lakhs were sanctioned for this work.

Moreover, allegations are also coming that the quality of the chips and other materials are using in that shed, are of very raw quality and the shed after completion will be broken down soon.

It’s to be mentioned here that one after one allegations are raising against the state govt. for poor construction : either in the matter of roadway or in building construction.

The villagers and the businessmen of Yakrai village expressed their agitation for the working way of the shed and mentioned, govt. works here are naturally like this.
