AGARTALA, May 12 (TIWN): People of Tripura have been enjoying the pleasant weather since Thursday afternoon, a much-needed respite from the scorching summer heat.
The clouds are not dense, but they are making the weather pleasant as they are carrying ice crystals in them and are covering the sun. Due to this, people are not feeling the burning summer heat.
Rise in day temperatures has started to affect road traffic and marketplaces have started to wear a deserted look mainly during afternoons. Even the evenings have not been pleasant for quite some time.
With the summer season has hits the state, people are experiencing bad weather with high temperature and is in grip of heat waves.
Besides, frequent power cuts for long stretches are only adding to the woes of the residents who have to do with an acute shortage of drinking water as rivers, ponds and wells have gone dry.
However, the hot surface wind along with the frequent power cut in the state has added woes on the daily life of the state.
People in the state are avoid coming out in the scorching heat. It seems like accept the office going people, students and the employed people none others like to come out from their houses, until and unless any emergency comes up.
Heat waves and sultry weather scare vehicle riders and pedestrians, and it resulted in roads wearing a deserted look during the day. Cases of sun stroke are on reports due to massive scorching heat hits the state.
However, the pleasant weather since Thursday afternoon has brought a sigh of relief for the common people.
