AGARTALA, May 12 (TIWN): Justice Tinlianthang Vaiphei of the Guwahati High Court will be the new acting Chief Justice of the Tripura High Court.He will replace Chief Justice Deepak Kumar Gupta, who has been transferred as the Chief Justice of the Chhattisgarh High Court.

"There is less number of judges pending to the courts in the state", outgoing Tripura High Court Chief Justice Deepak Gupta said on Wednesday.  Justice Gupta also stated that courts in Tripura did not have insufficient judges but very less number of cases has been coming to the court. 

He added it as a matter of concern for the judiciary in the state nowadays.Mr Justice Deepak Gupta for his tenure enriched many of us in many ways. He became the Chief Justice in  March 2013. State will remember you for years to come.
