AGARTALA, May 11 (TIWN): According to the source, TMC Supremo Mamata Banerjee called Former Leader of the Opposition in the Tripura Assembly, Sudip Roy Burman regarding joining TMC and further said that any decision related to this matter will be taken after May 19. It is to be mentioned here that Former Leader of the Opposition in the Tripura Assembly, Sudip Roy Burman, who was suspended by the Congress, is willing to join the Trinamool Congress (TMC) along with his followers. Former opposition leader Sudip Roy barman also met TMC general secretary Mukul Roy in Kolkata to discuss the political situation in Tripura. However, everything would be finalized after the West Bengal poll results are out. Reportedly, PCC Chief Birajit Sinha suspended Former opposition leader Sudip Roy barman and former President of Tripura Pradesh Youth congress Sushanta Chowdhury from the party after they have resigned from their post raising voice against the alliance with left front.Former Opposition leader Sudip Roy Barman and Tripura Pradesh Youth congress Sushanta Chowdhury have already resigned from the party and in their resignation letter they have mentioned that the resignation letter has been submitted in protest of the unethical alliance between Congress and the Left Front in West Bengal Assembly Election.
It is to mentioned here that according the Sudip roy Barman and Sushanta Chowdhury this move of forging an alliance with the CPI-M has completely ruined the prospect of the Congress party in Tripura wherein innumerable number of Congressmen have been murdered and subjected to immense oppression during the twenty-three years of left rule.
Besides, they also mentioned that with this alliance the party has compromised with its values to form this alliance only to grab power and the hopes of the people of Tripura.
It is to be mentioned here that earlier, Sudip Roy Barman, Ashish Kumar Saha and Sushanta Chowdhury has resigned from their post protesting against the alliance of the party.
