KAMALPUR, May 9 (TIWN): The cases of the Bangladeshi citizens being nabbed from this sub-division in recent government employees and officials came under scanner for performing their duties perfectly.
Further, the role of police also could not be left out of the scanner who built up the practice of pocketing money from every possible opportunity whether it harmed the cause of the country or not.
Within a span of almost six months, once again two Bangladeshi citizens got caught by the Special Branch officials from a house of Kalachari area. After police produced them before the Court with much evidences of their Bangladeshi citizenship, they produced almost every Indian document in their favor.
The Court granted them bail. Now, this created much resentment among the commoners as to why those two namely Fayaz Ahamed and Azadur Rahaman could get bail. Obviously, the Indian documents helped their way a great deal.
But then, the question arose that, when the original Indian citizens had to struggle to get their documents, then how the Bangladeshi citizens could avail their documents so easily.
A closer observation in the cases and keeping eye on the grounds of the Indian documents of those accused persons, it got clear that, a group of the Muslim community, though very little in number, especially from the border adjacent Malaya and Methirmia area, used to exploit their documents to make documents for the infiltrators.
And it also got revealed that, every time they used to do it in exchange of huge amount of money.
Secondly, the offices filled up with ruling party loyal employees also paved the way for them. It became a fact that, no work especially those related to documents could be availed without under table transactions. Keeping in tune with the practice, the illegal documents got prepared with huge amount of money.
The officials issuing those documents had no other way left but to sign depending on the ability and authenticity of the employees. And using this dependence, many documents came out of the offices and it’s quickly too.
Thirdly, the conscience of the politicians also remained under big question mark, who used to cherish and encourage every opportunity of increase in the vote bank.
And what remained mysterious enough was that, the state administration never found keen enough to remedy such loopholes.
