KAMALPUR, MAY 7 (TIWN): Almost thousands of villagers of five habitation of Kaimacharra village in this sub-division remained without electricity for sixth consecutive days. The TSECL authority continued assurances to renovate the collapsed transformer and restore the service soon.
On 2nd May last, the transformer of TSECL at Kaimacharra village collapsed due to thundering.
As a result, five habitations namely Singhbhumij Para, Namasudra Para, Shuklabaidya Para, Kaimacharra and Lalmantu Para became without electricity. The TSECL Halhali Office authority shifted the transformer for maintenance and restoration. But till today, the service not got restored.
As a result, the entire habitations remained out of electricity. Whenever, the villagers contacted with the authority, they continued their promises to restore the service shortly. But that restoration, according to the villagers, remained a distant dream.
When contacted with the TSECL Halhali office and the DGM office none could produce any reasonable cause for the delay. They continued their same tune of restoring the service shortly.
Now, the villagers planned to stage protest against such delay if the service not restored within next 24 hours.
