TIWN

AGARTALA, April 3 (TIWN) : Tripura govt. is to conduct re-TET Exam in the month of June-July after the earlier TET Exam held in December, had failed to bring out enough number of candidates.
Reportedly, On December 21 the first TET Exam in Tripura held, but the passing percentage was only 4 percent.
Among 306 candidates only 13 students could qualify the test.
However, at senior basic level the exam will not be held, said Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty. But among 1761 students for senior basic teachers posts only 539 had passed in the TET exam.
However, the teachers will be given salary for 5 years as fixed scale basis. Then after 5 years the teachers will get their salaries on regular basis.
The Graduates and post graduates will be recruited by this year only, said Minister.
Question arises, whereas state Tripura has recorded for the highest literacy rate, then why there is no quality in Education that only 4 percent can pass out in an Exam?
Who will measure the quality of the Education system here in Tripura which is continuing since 22 years in Left-front regime?
The result of TET has shown the teachers’ quality here in Tripura.
