The road accidents in districts involved both two-wheelers and four-wheelers," said a police official. All the victims of road accidents and assaults have been admitted to different hospitals. However, we do not have any reports of any casualty.
It is true that we receive many cases of road accidents and physical assaults during festivals and this Holi is no different. While some of the patients have been discharged, some are still undergoing treatment in our hospital.“Police have also penalized many for drink driving. More than 125 booked individuals in different places of the districts drink driving," said police (traffic) unit.
During festivals in particular we see many people become unruly and violate rules. It is becoming a social issue now. This is a dangerous trend as they may harm themselves and others this way.
