AGARTALA, Feb 15 (TIWN) : In yet another jolt, 17 shops at Dharmanagar have turned into ashes when fired sparks out at Padmapur Bazar. The event took place at 3.00 am on Monday, which caused losses of atleast 35 lakhs. None of the shops had insurance and allegations are coming that some miscreants’ group is behind this act, as in last 15 days one after one early-morning-fire incidents have created a peace-less situation over there. Tension prevails at Dharmanagar.
Getting informed, the Fire brigade rushed to that spot and controlled the situation. But what is cause behind the fire nobody knows. Police is investigating the case.
Talking to the police personal, he said that the incident took place at 3 am and fire brigade came within 5 minutes. The fire was controlled in time, otherwise it could bring more losses, said police.
The fire within few minutes had destroyed the half of the town. Presently, shop-keepers are undergoing heavy losses.
However, talking to one of the shop-keepers, whose house is near to the shops, he said, “Just before the fire had sparked out he heard a bike sound which had rushed in high speed from the spot of the incident. The shop-keeper didn’t take the matter seriously, but within few minutes the fire sparked out.
Allegations are coming that a group is involved behind this act. In a survey of last of last 14 days, it comes out that there are one after one incidents of fire at Dharmanagar. Before few days also cars were massively burnt at Dhamrmanagar.
It was on Saturday that 4 shops located in a densely populated locality Dharmanagar town were gutted in a fire on Saturday early morning, causing losses of around Rs 14 lakhs at MS road. FIR had been lodged Anukul Nath, the owner of the shop. But Police is still investigating the case. No clue has been gotten by Dhamrmanagar police.
