KALYANPUR (Khowai), Feb 14 (TIWN) : In yet another event, a rubber garden has been gutted into fire at Kalyapur, caused huge losses. Sources said that the event held at Kalyanpur, was intentionally done by any of the locals. But who did this, it’s not clear yet. However, FIR has been lodged at Kalyanpur P S.
The incident occurred at Gauranga Tilla village, Natun Bazar in Kalyanpur (under Khowai dist). The owner of the rubber garden has been identified as Sumendra Debbarma.
In total his 2.3 acre has been demolished due to the fire, broke out at Kalyanpur.
Getting informed the fire brigade rushed to that spot. It took around 20 minutes to take control over the fire.
However, it has been claimed that if the fire brigade didn’t arrive in time, the whole garden would be demolished. Still, atleast around 30 thousand of losses has been occurred.
Following the incident tension is prevailed in the whole Kalyanpur area. But who did this notorious act is not at all cleared. Police is further investigating the case.
It’s to be mentioned here that rubber garden must be kept away from fire as they are highly sensitive towards fires and within few seconds it can destroy many plants and keeps the ability to destroy whole area, within the few minutes.
The fire was seen on Sunday morning. Then the local fire brigade was called and it extinguished the fire after it reached. But the fire by then had damaged a part of that area. The loss has been estimated at Rs 30 thousand.
